Innkeepers Hans and Marsha Eckert
We invite you to stay with us in Kona, Hawaii in one of our four bright and cozy guestrooms at the Mango Sunset Bed & Breakfast Inn. Our Kona lodging accommodations feature guestrooms with sliding glass doors out to the lanai with sweeping views of miles of Kona coastline. All Guests enjoy their Breakfasts together on the lanai in our new Gazebo where we have a spectacular and sweeping ocean view.

Our Bed & Breakfast Inn has bamboo floors, teak furniture and Hawaiian island décor. All doors and trim are of mahogany and all rooms have ceiling fans and reading lights. The Honu (Green Sea Turtle) guestroom, as well as the the Hahalua (Manta Ray) and Naia (Dolphin), have their own bathroom, and the Kohola (Whale), has its bathroom to itself down the hall. Our mattresses and bedding are of the highest quality and all rooms are insulated for sound.

More Details and a Few House Rules
Mango Sunset is a smoke-free environment and we do not permit smoking anywhere on our premises. As is the custom in Hawaii, we remove our shoes before coming inside the Inn. Guests are free to use our DVD/VCR, board games and large selection of West Hawaii related books and maps, found in the Activity Room. Our SCUBA and snorkeling guests can enjoy our gear rinsing and drying facilities to avoid drying swim gear on the Lanai.

This is also where we have the guest refrigerator, microwave, toaster, etc. In our Living Room, we have the guest computer with high-speed Internet access and a comfy couch for quiet reading or lively conversation. Here our guests can plan their various Big Island activities. They can view a DVD/VCR, read, write, or play board games. We have a full laundry facility (modest fee), iron, hairdryer, coolers and beach mats. Our house phone is free for local calls.

For our guests' comfort, all rooms have extra pillows and blankets and walk-in showers. We supply hand soap but We ask that guests bring their own toiletries. Guests may borrow a hair dryer or iron and board. All rooms have phone books and note pads. If need be, leave us notes by the computer.

The kitchenette in the Activity Room is available to guests for their
own purposes. There is a shelf for you in the guest fridge where you can
place your own goods. You can heat your leftovers or take-outs in the
microwave, and we have a good size BBQ kitchen outside (with lights and a
full sink). We recycle everything and appreciate your participation in
that. Mahalo! |
